HealthBus joins UoS CHRP Annual Conference to strengthen collaboration in homeless healthcare

On 19 June 2025, HealthBus attended the Centre for Homelessness Research and Practice (CHRP) Annual Conference in London, convened by the University of Southampton (UoS). The event brought together leaders from across the homelessness sector to share best practice, exchange ideas, and build the relationships that make lasting change possible.

Throughout the day, conversations kept circling back to a core message: stronger collaboration within the healthcare system is essential to respond to the homelessness crisis. Speakers and delegates explored practical ways to knit services together—integrated care pathways between outreach, primary and secondary care; trauma-informed, person-centred approaches; smarter data sharing; and the importance of lived-experience insight shaping research and delivery.

HealthBus contributed reflections from frontline outreach and mobile clinics, highlighting how trusted relationships, rapid clinical response, and close partnership working can prevent crises and improve outcomes. We left with fresh connections, concrete ideas to test with partners, and renewed commitment to working as one system for people who need it most.

Huge thanks to UoS and the CHRP team for hosting an energising, solutions-focused day. We’re excited to turn learning into action with our partners across Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole—because collaboration isn’t a slogan; it’s how change happens.
