On 19 April 2023, Bournemouth University hosted a significant conference in Dorset, creating a single point of focus for charities, community groups, health and council leaders and their teams to come together at a time of transformation and recovery. Focus was given to all the things that affect our health and well-being, making real change, and improving things for all in our communities. Keynote speakers on the day were: Dr Paul Johnson, Chief Medical Officer, NHS Dorset and Debra Allcock-Tyler, Chief Executive at The Directory for Social Change.

The HealthBus Trust was one of the selected partners to demonstrate its impact on specialist homeless care for people experiencing homelessness and its commitment to addressing health inequalities. The Trust is delighted to be partnering with Community Action Network (CAN) as it continues to be an advocate for the voluntary sector in Dorset alongside demonstrating the essential impact charities make within the community.
