The HealthBus is teaming up with the Bournemouth Hamper Appeal (BHA) to bring essential food and support to local families facing hardship this Christmas. Working alongside BCP FoodBank and approximately 70 local organisations, this partnership aims to make a positive impact on families in need. This year, BHA is set to deliver 200 hampers filled with holiday essentials to families across the community.

In 2023, the appeal reached 721 people, helping them celebrate Christmas with loved ones. This holiday season, the HealthBus is rallying local support to collect specific items for the hampers, including 100 tins of soup, 100 tins of sweetcorn, 100 boxes of tea bags, and 100 jars of coffee. Local schools, such as Poole High School, are encouraged to contribute to this community effort and help make a difference for families in crisis.

In addition to supporting families, HealthBus is preparing ‘Bags of Hope’ – small care packages for homeless patients during Christmas and New Year. These will include 40 special bags for women containing hygiene essentials such as underwear, nail polish, sanitary products, chocolates, and plasters.
