Bournemouth Bay Run 2026: What a Day for Team 43
Bournemouth Bay Run 2026 on 22 March was a truly special day for HealthBus, and we are still taking it all in.
More than 70 runners turned out for Team 43, helping raise awareness of a stark reality: the average life expectancy for women experiencing homelessness is just 43 years. On Sunday, that message was carried with real care, compassion and community spirit.
What will stay with us most is the feeling of the day. In the Race Village, we had so many meaningful conversations with runners, supporters and passersby who stopped to ask questions, listen and engage with something that truly matters. It was a powerful reminder of what can happen when people come together to stand alongside those who are too often overlooked.
We were also incredibly grateful to be joined by Nick Butter, 11-time world record holder and the only person to have run a marathon in every country in the world, with more than 1,106 marathons completed and counting. Nick’s support meant a great deal. What stands out is not only his remarkable achievement but his willingness to use his voice to help shine a light on our mission.
To everyone who ran, donated, shared our message, supported Team 43, or simply stopped to speak with us, thank you. Your support helps us continue our vital, and often life-saving, work for people experiencing homelessness.
It was a brilliant day for Team 43 and a proud day for the whole HealthBus community.
