HealthBus explores creative wellbeing with Arts and Homelessness International

On 28 September 2026, HealthBus welcomed Natasha Sheer, Producer and Associate Leadership Programme Lead at Arts and Homelessness International, to explore how creativity could support health, wellbeing and recovery for people experiencing homelessness.

The visit brought together two organisations with a shared commitment to recognising people’s strengths, valuing lived experience and creating opportunities for connection. Natasha shared insights from her extensive arts background, including evidence of how creative activity can support physical and mental wellbeing.

For Natasha, the meeting offered an opportunity to learn about HealthBus’s specialist frontline services, which provide accessible physical and mental healthcare for people experiencing homelessness. For the HealthBus team, it opened up discussions about creative approaches, projects and initiatives that could benefit both patients and staff.

Natasha said: “It was incredible to visit the South Coast and meet the HealthBus team. They do such incredible work and I look forward to collaborating with them in the future.”

Jordan, HealthBus’s social media lead, reflected on the ideas Natasha shared, particularly how creativity could inspire patients to express themselves and share their lived experiences in ways that feel meaningful to them. The conversation highlighted opportunities to bring creative engagement alongside compassionate healthcare, helping people build confidence, strengthen connections and feel heard throughout their recovery journey.

HealthBus looks forward to continuing discussions with Arts and Homelessness International, exploring future collaboration and supporting its toolkit to help universities address homelessness among students and staff. The visit offered a valuable starting point for sharing knowledge and developing ideas together.
